Pamela Banchy, RN-BC, PMP CHCIO, Vice President, Clinical Informatics & Transformation & CIO

As part of Unity Health Network’s senior management team, Ms. Banchy brings clinical insight in providing vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that meet the mission of this growing multispecialty medical practice. She is responsible for the Information technology strategy and management of the electronic medical record across all areas, including security and supports the development and maintenance of software to meet regulatory requirements for provider regulatory compliance and patient quality outcomes and transitions of care. Under her leadership, Unity Health Network has been named among the nation’s “Most Wired” ambulatory healthcare organizations. Ms. Banchy was recently named one of the top “100 Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know” and “130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know” in Becker’s Hospital Review, and as a “CIO Superstar” in Health Management Technology magazine. She has more than 15 years of Healthcare IT experience, most recently serving as System Director, Clinical Information Systems at Summa Health System, and before that, as Corporate Director, Clinical Systems at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Pam is certified in Nursing Informatics (RN-BC), is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is a graduate of Ursuline College and Ohio Northern University.

W. Sue Kithcart, Director, Clinical Business Op

In her role, Sue leads and manages daily practice administrative and clinical operations while overseeing and directing site managers to facilitate effective, efficient operational workflow, including development of objectives, policies, office budgets and identification of clinical performance targets, metrics and processes. In addition, she monitors and evaluates patient flow, wait times, access issues, productivity and trends to recommend appropriate actions. Sue received her Bachelor of Arts in Project Management from Malone University and has held administrative, consultative, contracting and management positions throughout Northeast Ohio.

Shalini Makkar, Pharm. D., Director of Performance Management

In her role, Shalini identifies and analyzes all processes and measurements to promote overall improvement of the quality of health services provided by physicians, administration, clinical informatics and staff. She oversees clinical quality activities, develops and implements mechanisms to ensure accurate reporting, dissemination of data and performance improvement and ensures an effective quality improvement culture throughout the organization. Additionally, Shalini is instrumental in the organization’s High Risk Care Management program, provides oversight of risk-based/shared savings models, and ensures compliance with CMS quality initiatives. Shalini is a graduate of Wayne State University, received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and has held multiple positions as a pharmacist in Ohio and Michigan.

Michelle Miller, Director, Finance and Accounting

Michelle organizes, allocates and oversees financial statements for Unity Health Network physicians and performance program funding in addition to overseeing Premiere Medical Resources and Western Reserve Health System. She is responsible for all Accounts Payable preparation and is the primary contact for insurance coverage and external accounting firms. Michelle is a graduate of the University of Akron, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, received her Masters of Healthcare in Administration from Ohio University and previously held multiple positions in Finance and Accounting with Premiere Medical Resources.

Carmen Natale, Director, Clinical Business Operations

Carmen Natale serves as the Director of Clinical Business Operations for Unity Health Network where he is responsible for the day to day operations, profitability and strategic planning of the specialty practice division. Carmen has over 20 years of healthcare experience and prior to joining Unity Health Network has held various Healthcare Leadership roles at Summa Health System in Akron Ohio, Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center and OhioHealth in Columbus Ohio.  Carmen holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and a Master of Science in Industrial Psychology from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts.  He also holds certificates in Executive Healthcare Management from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio and has received certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University.  Carmen is married to his wife Jennifer and has two children, Virginia & Matthew.

Christine R. Orchosky, Director, Health Actuary

In her role, Christine analyzes complex clinical data, turning key findings into strategic recommendations for specific clinical areas, optimizes the clinical use of existing and new sources of electronic clinical data related to population health management, and develops contracting and pricing strategies and leads negotiations with insurance companies, networks and payors.Christine is a graduate of The University of Akron, and has held finance, contracting and accounting positions for a number of Northeast Ohio healthcare industry organizations including Summa Health and Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital.
