Dr. Blakeslee received her Doctorate of Osteopathy from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio and completed her psychiatry residency training at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Akron, Ohio. She is trained and board certified in psychiatry with a subspecialty certificate in psychosomatic medicine. Dr. Blakeslee treats patients 18 years of age and older having mental health issues including mood and anxiety disorders, mental health concerns related to medical issues, cancer/end-of-life mental health issues and combat-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. Blakeslee is a member of the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), American Psychiatric Association (APA), Ohio Psychiatric Association (OPA), American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and Ohio Osteopathic Association (OOA). She is the recipient of several notable awards including the George Litman, MD Excellence in Undergraduate Medical Teaching Award (2015), OUHCOM Outstanding Specialty Medicine Physician Award (2015), Golden Apple Psychiatry Teaching Award (2012) and NEOMED Outstanding Volunteer Faculty Award (2010).
