Charles Vignos, CPA, Joins Unity Health Network as Vice President, Managed Care and IPA Development

Unity Health Network is proud to announce the addition of Charles Vignos, CPA, as Vice President of Managed Care and Independent Physician Association (IPA) Development.

In his role, Vignos will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the managed care function and the development of the new Unity Health Network IPA. This will include third-party contracting and coordinating administration, oversight of third-party payer development and engagement, as well as the development of alternative market/product and payment methods. Vignos will lead Unity Health Network’s ongoing managed care strategy development to include care continuum expansion, geographic expansion and IPA and related risk-based initiatives. Additionally, Vignos will work collaboratively with the physician leaders of the IPA to achieve improved performance on the elements of the triple aim, which consist of total cost of care management, quality outcomes, and patient experience for customers; employers and patients.

Before serving with Unity Health Network, Vignos previously held roles as the Vice President of Corporate Revenue and Managed Care for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Vice President of Managed Care for Mercy Medical Center and Chief Operating Officer, Summa Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and President, Summa Health Network (SHN), both for Summa Health System.
